Hello there, Angelina here, Well I have a question for you,
Have you ever felt like Giving Up While Waiting for a Miracle?
Let’s talk about Waiting– Something we’ve all experienced. Waiting on God isn’t like waiting in line at the grocery store; it’s more like planting a seed and trusting it will grow. It’s about having faith that He’s working things out, even when we can’t see it. Like
Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the lord."
Consider Isaiah 40:31, Where it promises that " those who wait for the lord shall renew their strength."
So, when you’re waiting for something from God, remember it’s not passive- it’s active trust that He’s got this, and he’s got you.
As we delve into the theme of waiting, let’s turn our attention to some remarkable women of the Bible who exemplify this virtue. These matriarchs waited, not just for days or months, but often for years, for their precious gift child. Their stories are woven with faith, patience, and the unwavering belief that God would fulfil His promises.
The Patience of Sarah
The matriarch who laughed in disbelief would later laugh with joy as she held Issac, the child of promise (Genesis21:1-3). She waited decades before she could hold her son Issac in her arms. Can you imagine the patience that took? Sarah’s decades-long wait teaches us about patience that endures. Her joy at Issac’s birth is a testament to waiting with hope.
Rebekah’s Earnest prayers
She prayed earnestly before God blessed her with twins, Esau and Jacob. Her womb was silent until fervent prayers brought forth the twins Esau and Jacob, two nations in one(Genesis 25:21-26). Rebekah’s story shows us the power of prayer. The arrival of Esau and Jacob reminds us that earnest prayers can lead to abundant blessings.
Well, You might be thinking, Why keep praying if God already knows what I need? It’s a valid question, and I’ve explored this in another post Click here
Hannah’s Relentless Faith
Her relentless prayers were rewarded with Samuel, a son who would become one of Israel’s greatest prophets. In the bitterness of her soul, she prayed to the Lord and in turn, dedicated Samuel, her long-awaited son, to His service(1 Samuel 1:20). Hannah’s unwavering faith resulted in Samuel, a prophet who would lead Israel. Her story encourages us to remain steadfast in our beliefs.
Elizabeth’s Late-Life Surprises
Elizabeth, in her later years, was surprised with joy at the birth of John the Baptist. Barrenness turned to Blessedness as she welcomed John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ(Luke 1:13-17). Elizabeth’s unexpected joy with John the Baptist’s birth illustrates that it’s never too late for a miracle.
The Promise of Hazelelponi
We must also mention Hazelelponi, traditionally known as Samson’s mother. She received a divine promise and saw it fulfilled through her son’s extraordinary strength(Judges 13). Hazelelponi’s story teaches us about trust in divine promises.

Let these biblical mothers inspire you. Their stories aren’t just ancient history; they’re relevant to our lives today. They teach us that waiting isn’t wasted time if we’re waiting with faith.
As you read this, remember that your waiting has value. It’s shaping you, teaching you patience, and preparing you for the blessings ahead. So hold on a little longer, just like Sarah, Rebekah, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Hazelelponi did.
Each story is a testament to the power of waiting with faith. Their children, Issac, Jacob, Esau, Samuel, John the Baptist, and Samson were not just answers to prayer but were pivotal figures in God’s plan.
Your story is still being written, and like these remarkable women of faith, your waiting will lead to a future filled with joy and purpose. As we craft our lives today, let us remember these mother’s silent prayers and unwavering faith.
You know how the saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait”. Well, when it comes to waiting on God, it’s even better. It’s not about Him being slow; it’s about Him being thorough. He’s not just giving us what we want; He’s preparing us to receive something even greater than we imagined.
So, when it feels like God’s hitting the snooze button on your prayers, remember that He’s actually in the kitchen, cooking up something amazing for you. The longer the wait the richer the reward.
And that’s a wrap on our chat about waiting with a little faith. Keep hanging in there, and until next time, take care and stay hopeful!
